About Me

Hello there! My name is Yvon, and I am a photographer with a passion for street, urban, and travel photography.

I am drawn to the rhythm of cities, the character of unfamiliar places, and the quiet moments that often go unnoticed. Through my photographs, I try to reveal what is not immediately visible and convey the emotions I experience while observing the world around me.

Photography is a language of its own for me — a way to express myself, tell stories, and reveal a part of who I am. Through light, shadow, contrast, and composition, I capture honest fragments of everyday life: people passing by, striking architecture, fleeting expressions, and unexpected scenes.

Photobook
50copies
Limited edition · Risograph · Hand-printed

The Hat Man — Ed. I

Street & travel photography, France × Japan

Fifty copies. No more. Each one is printed by hand on a Japanese risograph — a stencil press that lays ink down the way a screen print does, one colour at a time, in flat saturated passes that sink into the paper instead of sitting on top of it.

The register drifts by a fraction of a millimetre from one sheet to the next, the ink catches differently, the grain never falls twice the same way. No two copies are identical: each one has its own texture, its own offsets, its own small accidents — its own life.

Risography

孔版印刷 — kōhan insatsu

Invented in Japan, the risograph is a stencil duplicator: for every colour, the machine burns a master sheet, wraps it around a rotating drum filled with soy-based ink, and pushes the paper through. Closer to screen printing than to a photocopier, and just as physical.

Every colour is a separate pass through the press. Every pass is fed by hand. Where two inks overlap they mix on the paper rather than in a file, and where they miss each other by a hair, the image is left with an edge no digital print can imitate.

That imprecision is the point. It is what turns an edition of fifty into fifty separate objects.

Three passes, three drums, one sheet
No two copies are ever the same.

Each one has its own texture, its own offsets, its own small accidents — its own life…

An edition printed by hand costs more than it will ever return. A donation — any amount — goes straight into paper, ink and press time, and keeps the next edition possible.
